During the ceremony to launch and hand over the 2023 Indonesian Youth Day (IYD) cross in Palembang, Indonesia, on November 20, Archbishop Yohanes Harun Yuwono of the Archdiocese of Palembang told young people to be happy in their pursuit of holiness.
"Let us write down opinions, reflections, and sermons that soothe and reconcile the hearts of many people and upload photos about the beauty of living together in the midst of differences that inspire people to care about others and the natural environment," said a joint Christmas message released on November 21, the Indonesian Bishops' Conference (KWI) and the Communion of Churches in Indonesia (PGI).

"The Indonesian Catholic Journalists Association met with Pope Francis to spread the message of world peace, as required by the Preamble to the Indonesian Constitution and the Abu Dhabi Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together."

The Vatican's ambassador to Indonesia, Archbishop Piero Pioppo, urged the country's bishops to travel together in a spirit of brotherhood, at the Synodal opening of the Indonesian Bishops' Conference (KWI) in Bandung on November 14.
